Hilary Crosby is partner and founder of Crosby & Kaneda. Ms. Crosby is well-known in the Bay Area for her balance of professional independence and genuine caring for the mission of her clients. She has managed audits of over 70 organizations, including numerous audits in accordance with auditing standards generally accepted in the United States of America and the standards applicable to financial audits contained in Government Auditing Standards, issued by the Comptroller General of the United States and the Office of Management and Budget Circular A-133. Prior to launching C&K, she provided accounting, bookkeeping and management services to a wide variety of nonprofit organizations. Ms. Crosby received her B.A. degree from Boston University and was awarded a master’s degree in nonprofit management by the University of San Francisco. Her involvement in her community is extensive. Ms. Crosby has served as treasurer on several boards, including the San Francisco Women’s Building, Rape Trauma Services of San Mateo County and Safequest Solano. She was an adjunct professor of Nonprofit Financial Management in the Institute for Nonprofit Management at the University of San Francisco. She also served on the Nonprofit Committee of the San Francisco Chapter of the California Society for CPAs. In 2009 she was elected Controller of the California Democratic Party. Her term lasts until Spring, 2013.
